Gothia Ltd is a debt purchasing agent which has purchased the delinquent account from the original creditor, usually a bank (or in some cases another debt purchasing company) for pennies on the pound and is trying to get the full sum of the original debt from you.

Gothia Limited will use all sorts of nasty methods to get you to set up a direct debit or standing order in order to profit from people's ignorance of the law. You may already have had bad dealings with them on the phone. They may call you on the phone at odd times and do so several times a day. They may write official-looking nastily worded letters threatening to 'send the boys round' to collect the full amount or take you to court if you cannot pay.
